Wedding Packages

    Hi Guys

I've been looking at wedding venues for the past few weeks, a few places on the shortlist but any place we've seen that would be a definite are too expensive. We've also seen some great packages in hotels like the Ormonde in Kilkenny and the Dolmen in Carlow (great price, including all the compliments you could possibly ask for!).

However, we are looking at the West of Ireland or Coastal areas, or a castle venue. We've found some castle venues with good prices but then the complimentary stuff isn't great and adds too much to the package.

Basically we are looking at €50 give or take for an all inclusive wedding package that includes the usual complimentary things (e.g. bar extension, rooms, drinks/canape arrival, evening food, etc...). The bride to be is after stunning views (floor to ceiling windows, balconies overlooking the sea/lake) whereas I'm more into a castle venue. Pictures don't really do any of the places justice and as we are from the East travelling to the West would need to be for a place we are fairly definite about. So, have you guys any experiences with such places that have good value inclusive packages? Thanks

The Ferrycarrig hotel in Wexford have all-inclusive packages for between €40-€47/€48 per person. The hotel is right on the Slaney estuary on the way into Wexford town and the ballroom looks out over the estuary.

Not a castle venue but might be worth checking out

We've seen it, and she definitely likes the ground to ceiling windows. Probably worth a visit so. Thanks - Sorry it was actually Faithlegg I thought you meant

Have you looked at the river court in Kilkenny? Castle backdrop, and on a river
