Hey I've been roped into organising a Breaking Bad themed table quiz.
It'd be really helpful if I could get some suggestions for good questions! Thanks :D

Believe it or not the most basic questions work best in situations like this. Example

Where did Walt leave Holly after abducting her.

What did Walt use to poison Brock.

What kind of outfit are the Los Pollos Hermanos wearing.

What was Jessie's dealer name before he and Walt cooked together.

What was the name of the book Gale gave to Walt which, ultimately, led to Hank figuring out that Walt was 'Heisenberg'?

haha, the name of the bar too!

Table quizes have been ruined since the advent of google on mobiles, even with just messaging cheaters were texting questions to lads at home on PCs, this obviously happens more if there is money involved. Any questions you come up with could be tested for the ease of discovering on the internet. This could mean more visual questions where there would have been no real call for it ever to have been written down, this would mean people/cheaters would have to go looking at videos which might take longer.

Another way to combat cheats is to have very short time limits for answers. This could be done with computers somehow. It could be done other ways too though, like have coloured balls, different colours for each question, they have to write on the ball and pop it in a bottle in the middle of the table so the quizmaster can see.

In one we held last year , everyone had to leave their phones in a see thru sandwich bag in the middle of the table.

This suits the serious cheats perfectly though, who will have a second phone. Phones could be used to text in the answer. These time limit ones would work better if mulitple choice, so its just a single letter answer.

If its amongst mates it should hopefully be less likely, though there is no money in "words with friends" and I have seen the most obscure words coming out of the people who usually have very limited vocabulary...

On the periodic table, which elements are represented by the letters Br, and Ba?

I think this is a pretty good one, as they appear in the title sequence of every episode. But who was nerdy enough to look them up? Or know them already :)

I'm not sure being educated is really nerdy.

I'm sure you know plenty of well educated people who couldnt answer that question. Its a good question for the quiz.

And the periodic table is definitly nerd territory!

Thanks for the questions, lads. I used quite a few (most?) of these suggestions, and the quiz went really well! It was for the Irish Cancer Society, so thanks again! We made 400-and-something euro :)
