Any cheap peanuts or good wholesale shops to recommend?

I used to get it in Lidl.. was good quality but expensive.... I'm in the Kildare/Offaly area... or online would be cool too, thanks :)

I buy 20kg bags from a local pet food store. I am always loathe to recommend where people should buy, as quality is as important as price - especially if you want virus free peanuts. The only thing I would say is that they are more expensive in ANY supermarkets or DIY stores.

Lidl is the best value of the supermarkets: €3 a kilo bag and the nuts are good quality. Avoid Tesco with the Irish supplier who reduced the weight from a kilo to 900g and increased the price to over €5.

Lidl at €3 per kg may be the cheapest supermarket but large pet suppliers will be cheaper.Online stores like newbawn - to name just one - will be about 2 per kg.

I get a 25kg bag for €58 from a local pet shop = €2.32/kg. Always check the quality though as it can vary from batch to batch.

If you can buy bulk bags it always works out cheaper. I usually buy mine online and get it delivered. (i know its lazy) But still works out much cheaper than pet stores even after delivery. Used to buy from CJ Wildlife but this year have started using Aviary Supplies. Any of you guys use niger seed? It attracts goldfinches like crazy!
