    Hi,
pretty sure I got caught speeding on the motorway. Noticed a Garda vehicle pulled in on the overhead flyover looking down onto the motorway. Just wondering, if I was done woud they take a pic from the overhead bridge, or would they chase after you? And if its a pic, would it be of the front as you approach , or from the rear after you pass by the bridge. I hope its ok to post this here.
    Many thanks

Your attitude here is really that of a dick head.People come on here and ask questions because it is a discussion forum under emergency services forum.therefore there will be guards who would know these answers.it is probably the first to be experienced by the op and is looking for some informed advice.

if people cant do this whats the point in having these forums.i also wonder why you are here as 90% of your posts are sarcastic replies

Try the legal advice forum then.
In the meantime, slow down, spend more time watching the road ahead and less time trying to spot patrol cars on flyovers. 99% of police vehicles are not carrying out speed traps when you see them.

    Happy?

See your point but I don't think your reply was very helpful to the op either...
OP I think you're fine, if they were using a camera it's normally set up next to the road (not above it). They were probably using a handheld (laser)gun and in that case they will have to pull you over. My guess is they either didn't get you or you weren't much over the limit so they didn't bother. I think they tend to pull over the excessive speeders on these checks. Also possible they were there for other reasons...

Most likely you haven't been caught this time - however, you should count yourself lucky.

Instead of having to be worrying about if you've been caught, slow down the next time you're driving, it'll be worth it.

    Drive Safe.
