Is there anything one can pour into a bottle of Tesco vodka to make it less rank?

Does anyone know what goes into decent vodkas in order to flavour them? Tesco's stuff is literally ethanol and water, I'm guessing other brands put something subtle into them to make them less like paint stripper? >_>

NOTE: I'm NOT talking about mixer, I'm wondering if there's anything I can directly add to the bottle so it starts off as nicer vodka even before it's mixed properly.

Also note: "blast it with piss" will not be well recieved: I've tried that before and it didn't work ;)

I don't know that much about vodka, but I assume like whiskey, brandy etc, there is a process for making it (aging etc), and adding some artificial flavouring to industrial ethanol is not going replicate the flavour of properly made vodka.

You can add food safe charcoal to the bottle which will help filter it. Or run it through a water filter.

Few different guides online if you google it.

Just spend the extra tenner, go back to the vodka section and get something you like.

Life is far too short, always go for quality not quantity.

Should that fail make skittle vodka. Take some preparation though. Get a bag of skittles, take out the green ones(just because they make it a brown colour) and pour the remaining ones into the vodka.

Leaving overnight and the skittles dissolve. Preferably leave in the freezer.

    I didn't buy it, but it's after 10 so I'm stuck with it! :p

    Interesting, will investigate :D

i know i'm a bit late, and the tesco vodka has probably been disposed of by now by human consumption or otherwise, but here is a handy How To Guide courtesy of Wiki

Activated carbon is the standard, you do not need a filter to pass it through, it can just be added to vodka and let sit for days and decanted off, the bad stuff is aDsorbed, not aBsorbed, this is why you do not need to pass it through it like ad traditional filter. You can recharge and reuse carbon too.

Some add sugar or glycerine too. Tesco are good in the way they usually show ingredients in their drinks, including spirits, I know some tesco spirits have glycerine added.

If you know a few days in advance that you will be drinking that stuff, you should try infusing the vodka.

You can put the likes of fruit into it. You could for example, cut up an apple or 2 and put it in and let it sit. Shake it once a day but otherwise you don't have to do anything. It will make the vodka taste a bit better.
