Quality of Vans

I have had 2 pairs of Vans now and each pair only lasted 6 months. The sides have come away from fabric and a hole is appearing in the fabric too.

Anyone else experience this or am I just super unlucky! I don't wear them every minute of everyday and would expect to get longer than 6 months out of them.

I have bought 3 different pairs of shoes online (from an Irish shop) and all 3 have suffered from the same problems. However anything I bought in the shop has lasted a long time. Surely a coincidence

Anyway back to vans..... how do you find the quality??

I own one pair, and within a few months of casual wear the insole at the heel completely disappeared :( The fabric was the first to pull away, and then the spongey insole just gradually wore down until it hit the rubber bottom. I can't wear them if I plan on doing any amount of walking because I end up with horrible blisters on my heels. It really doesn't help that they are a flat shoe either, so that all pressure is put on the heel when walking so I'm guaranteed to get this problem again if I buy another pair. It's a shame because I love the way they look and the comfort of the insole when it's fully intact.

I used to wear vans a lot but the price of them and the quality really let me down, there super comfy and can be worn with pretty much anything. I switched to converse now and they seem a little better

One pair went to ****e, but I have another that is holding up really well.

I've had two pairs, two different styles & colours. The soles are still OK (not quite as comfy as they used to be though) and there are no holes in the fabric or anything, but both of them have faded in colour quite a bit (within just a few months), especially in places where the fabric would bend when you're walking, they really don't look that nice anymore.
