oh now i wont even go there i know that polling clerks and presiding officers have been tryin to get the one in our area to no avail either it was just on the off chance that I rang the office and someone answered yesterday. what she said was she was paying it in this week and we should all have it in our accounts by next week. six weeks after referendum isnt on especially people who are on welfare and have already been stopped their pay for doing the work and as yet the havent had the decency to pay out for the work that has been done.I heard it was highlighted on some radio station last week that the payments hasnt been made for the last one and they are planning the next.its a shame when people have to go begging for their pay. I bet the returning officers wouldnt work long if they werent being paid and also how they never answer their phones or e mails when askede about it. I feel its something that needs to be hi lighted before we all sit for hours at the next election pay should be issued at least two weeks after it. its not rocket science.

Im really pissed off now that i read this on my own thread left by another person

"I got paid 2 weeks ago (Dublin area), exactly 4 weeks to the day after referendum. I don't know what the story is in Carlow or the rest of the country, but it should not take 6 weeks to be paid out. I'm guessing everyone else has been paid out and something has gone wrong with yours as there's not been any fuss about it."

Tara which area are u in?

well in wicklow here its nothing new to be left six seven weeks for payment. and we still wait on here. our returning officer hasnt bothered to answer e mails etc or phone regarding payment its the same story every time of election here for some reason kildare were paid ages before we were the last time so its not a national thing it seems to run by constituency. like i said its not rocket science she knows how many p o and p c there is so the money surely can be drawn down from where ever it comes to pay staff. bet the r o wouldnt go 6 weeks without pay.
