    HI folks,,
Any suggestions for a decent mini sat box I can hide behind a 22" LED TV I hung on my bedroom wall yesterday? It would need an IR receiver for the remote too ..

I had an old Panasonic Sky Box that I had paired with the old tube TV that was up there but its too big to try and hide and I don't want cables everywhere..

    Thanks

why not relocate the box to the attic or somewhere and use a magic eye to control it ?

Ferguson Ariva 102 Mini HD Digital Satellite Receiver

Installed one for my sister behind a bedroom TV earlier this year.

However a Freesat HD box is easiest to use and most will fit behind a TV. A Combo is only good if the TV can't do Saorview and all are inferior for basic UK Satellite watching to a Freesat HD box.

I have 2 small Freesat SD boxes (Goodmans and Grundig) but are still too big to hide behind a wall mounted TV.

how about getting a tv with dvb-s2 built in and then you don't need the box or an extra remote control or an extra wall plug. part finance it through sale of your own tv.
There are TVs out there with dvb-s2, dvb-t and dvb-c

Thanks but I just bought the tv last week. So its going to stay. The ferguson looks a good option if slightly more than I had planned to spend.

how much have you been quoted? Try eBay or foreign websites.

Last year I fitted a b&b out with sat receivers. I got hold of some opticim x 80s or the same model with dvbs2. They were very small, small enough to sit below the tvs (22") and held in place with black cable ties, put through the grill of the tv. Boxes retail for around 30ish euro, the dvbs version less than 20€.

The Ariva 102 mini was around 75 STG plus postage which would nearly be 100 Euro, Thats why I was veering toward a magic eye or IR remote option as I have a sky box with a UK white sky card, the Sky box is a Panasonic SD box which I suppose I could sell if I was to get the Ariva...
