Seaniemac.com. Beware of them

I know of a few people (including myself~) that have been doing the double odds promotion on the premier league and champions league 1st goalscorers.
The first time they hit the promo they are not given the double odds, the excuse being "you were not allowed this because of your betting patterns" or even just given double on say a fraction of the stake. But no email or warning had been sent beforehand.
A dodgy crowd,so beware if doing any of their promotions.your chances of them actually honouring the promo are slim.
You could send an email asking if they have any problem with you doing promos, but they dont seem respond to emails,so beware!

Have you seen their tv ads? Like a scene from Fr. Ted.

Tbh, seaniemac.com would be enough for me to not use them. Sounds like some guy sitting in his kitchen thinking of ways to get some quick cash

Their ads are hilariously bad. I don't think I've ever seen ads that make me not want to do business with a company so much.

yup,he looks like a right ole farmer on that ad:).They also have same software/odds/promos as boyles, another dodgy crowd that piss their pants if you win more than 2 bets in a row.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

This is what I have found out about them.

They were set up by Boyles themselves to attract business from people that didn't want to bet with Boyles.
The prices are the exact same, the offers are the same, the website is the same as Boyles except in a different colour.
Tey will check accounts opened up against Boyles very quickly so if you are closed with Boyles, your account with seaniemac will shortly follow the same road.
I would suggest an email to John Martin (Punters Platform in Saturday's Star ).
    His email is JFIN82004@gmail.com
    published in the paper.

Nearly all books try screw you out of recieving promos. I had a Seaniemac account when they were a Jenningsbet skin and when they moved to Boyles i was instantly gubbed so never got a chance to bet there. Same odds as Boyles just forget about using them and move on, there are other Boyles skins that give the same promo DD inside 20mins , Betmclean (part of Amclean northern Ireland bookmakers but if your gubbed with Boyles you wont last long there either also Apollobet same offer another Boyles skin i lasted a couple of weeks there my account was in GBP cant recall offhand if they allow Euro , i had Apollobet when they were also a jennings skin.

I won 20k at a boomaker a few weeks ago and because another family member not immediate family but shared same surname had an account the bookmaker linked us both and closed my account and kept my money. Its what they do when you win big , won 12k at Hills this week and my account is locked now for 5 days while they investigate the account (by investigation they mean look for any way possible to deny me my payout) most people bet for fun i do it for a living when you win big and bet big you hit major hurdles in getting paid out.

Well done on your recent winnings, I love to see the bookies bashed.

Because it is so easy to track bets, patterns and people online, would it make a case to go into an actual shop to place the bet? Obviously that creates the problem of the staff knowing you and putting a cap on your max bets (I have seen that happen) but would it be more profitable for you, as a pro gambler to get some close friends/family members to put the bet on for you at different locations?

This is a topic I recently discussed with a friend of mine who is a professional gambler and it provided many different view from the group we were in at the time.

They seem to have an IBAS logo on their website (but greyed out). You should throw a complaint into IBAS and into the Isle of Man regulator and one might stick.

I started to go to shops a couple of years ago as all my accounts go closed/limited , i got the same reaction in shops , most bets even 50 euro bets get called in and i am offered worse odds or lower stake. Interestingly i paid my brother to go into shops for me and oen saturday he was out with mates and tried to put 20 quid on a first goal scorer and they rang it up on him, ridiculous.

easiest way for me to get a bet on now is to pay people to let me use there accounts

Yeah, I have put some bets on for my mate also. When it is quiet in the bookies in town it makes it even harder cos they know I am only a recreational gambler, for entertainment, not profit. He has also used a few of my accounts, 2 of which got shut down. It is getting harder and harder for pros to get their money on. And of course everyone likes to see the bookies get beaten so everyone involved in the conversation/debate wanted to help :pac:

I know this is gone a bit off topic but I find it interesting to get another pro gamblers view but I don't think it is worthy of its own thread.

Its gets like a job very quickly the amount of admin is ridiculous. I rent accounts of friends or some family memebers who are good enough to open accounts and i help them place the bets split the profits or pay them a lump sum up front, its hard to stay under the radar a typical paddies or ladbrokes account lasts a week or less. its funny explaining to most people that you make a living from gambling , alot of people think the bookie always win and just wont believe that you would ever be limited closed down. I actually don't know any other professional gamblers in Ireland ,ive a good few contacts in uk

There are more in Ireland than we think, we only ever hear the guy in the pub roaring about the 20/1 winner he had, never the 100's of losers he has had. Pro gamblers tend to keep their profits/losses and info to themselves. Also, another reason it is so hard to find people to put bets on is my mate wouldn't want everyone knowing his business for the reasons about gamblers you mentioned above , he was even a bit uncomfortable discussing it the other night in a close group of friends.

Would you not try to approach a bookie about becoming a kind of "rep" for them to keep your account open. Like, you only bet with them and no other bookie, you sign people up like an affiliate and you advertise their company, like if you pick a bet you text your mates or put on facebook or twitter e.g. Man united to win is best priced with............... get on it lads.??

My mate was dead against this and said it would be more difficult than that.

What did you win it on, what bookie (if you would rather not mention, fair enough) and why did they refuse to pay?
Keep copies of what bets you had and won on as it's amazing what a bit of bad publicity will do for a bookies business.

You obviously don't know how this works. Bad publicity doesn't matter. Accounts get shut down every hour!!

Bookies don't want professionals taking there odds , they don't need me in there shops or been in anyway affiliated to them , I am going to beat them over time , sometimes I am getting 10% return on investment sometimes i am getting 50%+ , oppurtunites arise and bookies have to be very careful with professionals around tiny mistakes in pricing and people that know what they are doing can leverage these and all of a sudden have a huge edge. Any bookie i have ever openned i have grown huge balances all well over 5 figures and i never take an opinion on a game or sport. I just bet value odds and oppurtunities.

The bookie was Betathome they refused to pay because they said in there terms it was one account per family

You obviously have some skill in speciality subjects. What I done was open a subscriber service, people pay a fee, and I give them my bets. So they do the gambling, but I get paid for it, that way I don't have to worry about the bookies closing my accounts down.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

Why the need to open all these accounts, why not use Betfair or Betdaq or Pinnacle bookmakers. They never limited you.

    I sure do know.
Bad publicity to the likes of Paddy Power or Boyles who are Irish based and have shops here, isn't good for them.
If it's an Internet based firm, that's a different story.
    The bookie was Betathome

Now knowing the bookie obviously that's not a factor in this case.

I would fight them saying that the other person isn't an immediate family member.
why not use Betfair or Betdaq or Pinnacle bookmakers.

Possibly because they didn't do the market that he was wining at?
