    misHi Guys,

I am looking to equip a decent Get Home Bag.
One thing I just can make my mind up on is a decent budget water filter.

Has anyone any feedback on the Sawyer products such as
    http://sawyereurope.com/filters/biologic/sp128

Alternatively, can anyone recommend an alternative.

Given that I probably will never need to use the filter, I am trying to find an affordable option, but there are so many options, with widely differing lifespans, its not easy !

    thanks,
    RB

I've had good results from the Aquamira Frontier Pro, tiny and fits to the platypus water bag nozzle perfectly, fits to a lot of water bottles in fact. It should last almost indefinetely on the shelf, since the main filter is activated charcoal, but you should still boil the water afterwards to be 100% sure. I own four of them, each enough to clean drinking water for 4-6 weeks.
