Clubs returning scores.

Without naming names just wondering do ye find a wide time variance in clubs returning a scorecard?

There are 2 clubs local to me I've given up on as I constantly had to ring them to get them to post on my score.
I know there's some poor fella landed with the whole lot and visitor's cards may not be top of the agenda, but I think it's detrimental to a club when visitors experience such delays(i'm talking a week or 10 days maybe).

Another third world problem but the last 6 months it's gone downhill from this side of things imo.

    * I'm not witch-hunting just want to know is it getting more and more frequent everywhere*

An interesting one on this is that it may not be that clubs are slow returning scores.... it could be that yours is at fault.

The way is works is that for example your away score is uploaded by the club you played, however your home club also need to download the scores onto their system for your records.

As a past handicap sec I had some very irate people complain to me.... turns out it wasn't always my fault ;)

Only ever had one course not return card, and by return card I mean update the golfnet database, gave up after the third call and emailed the handicap secretary my stapleford score which he ignored.

As other posters stated it is not the card that is returned but your score sent to glofnet (CHD). I upload/download scores every 2nd day at our club. Some clubs might only get to do it once a week. If you log into your own golfnet account you can see if there is/are away scores pending to be downloaded.

It should be mandatory for clubs to send back scores every 2nd day, or at the very least twice a week, it took 2 weeks for one of my away scores to come onto the home system back in July

Something similar happened to me twice this year, 2 .1's still not on Golfnet but have given up on them at this stage, after phone calls to both clubs.

In fairness most clubs are brilliant at this, more often than not I can see these in my away section on Golfnet within a day or two. It's just a bit annoying when there's a cut due but there's no CSS available to self-apply the cut before the next comp.
Ended up with me ringing to ask the CSS for the day as it was the difference of a shot to my handicap.

    It's not everyday I get a cut:D

In the absence of CSS you can always use SSS
