So I need to buy some ammunition for my .22lr

from what I've used so far (Federal Champion, Remmington Cyclone, CCI subs and winchester super x) the Winchester Super X 40gr HP subs are the best grouping and I think they hit good and hard also.

I've read that the quality may have changed for the worse, has anybody bought them recently?

As an alternative I was thinking of trying RWS HP subs, has anyone experience of these?

Thru a Brno I find Eley subs HP, Win subs HP and RWS all very good reliable rnds for rabbits and are consistent on paper.

I use the Winchester super x now there a great round. To be honest I haven't bought them yet cause I got 400 in the deal with the rifle. But lapua subs are as good as them and have the same zero. In my rifle anyway.

I find CCI the most accurate of all the subs Ive tried but I find they dont expand too well and tend to just pass clean through whatever Im after. The Winchesters seemed to have the best performance as to stopping ability but the groups werent great in my gun. I wouldnt put any remington ammo through the gun anymore , youd be only firing warning shots. Now Im using Eley subs and they seem to be doing the job but still dont stop as well as the winchesters.

I found the Winchesters very good, but like that I had a good supply of them but their used up now. It was only in the last week that I was reading they are in a new manufacturing plant or process and that they don't shoot the same.

just found an informative article about different subs. I will look for eley or rws to give them a try.

can't find where I read about the winchesters. was probably just somebody on a forum that had a bad batch.

The winchesters I have are in the blue box. Have to say I also used the rws weren't bad either for accuracy. Haven said that if I'm hunting I like using Hv stuff.
