Does anyone know if you have to apply for this or is it simply added to your payment if you qualify?

I know others received their fuel allowance today, I didn't. I asked twice in my local social welfare if I had to sign up again. I was told no. I know I needed to have my housemate sign a form last year. Would that be the reason I didn't get it this week?

There's four more days to go yet in the week, when do you normally get your payment.

Are you told if your application has been granted? I applied but never heard anything back and won't be collecting my payment until Wednesday so I don't know where I stand right now.

I collect my money on Mondays, although my day to collect is actually Tuesday. I was told as long as nothing changed in regards to my claim then I wouldn't have to do anything that the payment would go in straight away

Do you need to reapply every year? I had the payment sorted at the beginning of the year but was then on a Fas course for 6 months. Is that going to have messed things up? I think it used to be an automatic payment each year once it was set up.
Cos I didn't get it in the payment today but cos of that I checked it and it hadn't automatically gone onto my claim. So am wondering if it was being on a course that stopped it.

I qualified for fuel allowance last year. This year I'm working part time and submitting dockets and claiming Job Seekers Allowance for the day's I don't work. I had expected to receive the Fuel Payment this week but I didn't.

Does anyone know if this is because I'm now on dockets or could it be because I get paid a week in arrears so it should start next week ?
