Posted this in plumbing also. Is anyone familiar with this setup. I have a house with an insulated indirect copper cylinder which has the immersion element attatched in a small tank attatched to the cylinder. This was installed 8 years ago . This was controlled digitally with a timer only and was replaced with a standard mechanical timer when the digital timer burnt out. It appears that the digital timer was a timed event only and not set up to stay on like a regular timer. Would it be better to replace with the regular intank type immersion if we need a lot of hot water. I think the set up now is not the best option. Thanks.
