Advice on a combo STB?

    Hi,

I'm very new to the terrestrial \ satellite scene but have done a little bit of reading in the last couple of days (a little knowledge being a dangerous thing etc) and I'd appreciate if someone could help me out...

I've just cancelled my Sky sub, well, about a month ago, and am just using their box for BBC etc. I ordered a UHF aerial yesterday so should have that soon enough.

I'd like to get a combo box, and I think I want one with 2 x DVB-S and 1 x DVB-T but I'm guessing I need two DVB-S so i can watch one channel and record another? if that assumption's correct, then that's grand.

The other thing I'd like to do is get a Linux box if possible - I realise I wouldn't be able to use it to it's full potential initially but I'd like to think I will get up to speed on it over the following months.

So, I'm thinking either the Alien 2 Triple, or the GigaBlue 800 Quad. Obviously there's a significant price difference, but is the GigaBlue 50% better? or is there a combo box out there that would suit me better?

Also, if it had a universal remote (for the Sony TV \ STB only) it would be an advantage.

    Thanks in advance!
