    The title "Justice of the Peace" hasn't been used in Ireland since Indepencence from the UK in the 1920's

    It is still used in some US States, and in Australia, New Zealand and some other commonwealth countries.

    The nearest equivalent in Ireland is a "Commissioner for Oaths"

    To locate one google "Commissioner for Oaths" AND "area name"

    Go to your citizen's information centre OP. If they don't heave one in house, they'll point you in the right direction. I used the one on sundrive road to get an affidavit notarized. No charge, as I was a poor student at the time.
