Different car colour on NCT / History check

I've just placed a deposit on a car which I'm due to pick up tomorrow. The NCT had expired, so I agreed with the dealer to book it and he would refund me the cost. I used motorcheck and nothing out of the ordinary popped up - two previous owners (its 07), although there was a gap in the tax, which the dealer put down to it being used as a run-around for one of their sales team in its first year. The previous owner had it for 5 years.

Putting in the reg for the NCT, the colour listed on the NCT form is different to the current car colour. Is it possible this may be an error? The history didn't show anything dodgy, its had a full service since I checked it over, and the service history looks ok. I'm going through a dealer.

Maybe it's just an error on the part of the NCT.

Does the dealer have the current registration cert, that will have the colour listed on it? It is possible that the NCT data is wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. Also check the colour inside the engine bay and underneath the boot interior trim, very difficult to respray those areas unless your Ed China.
