No JSA, no knowledge of CE scheme

    My JSB ran out, applied near the end of it for JSA but husband's wage is above threshold so refused that. So am now signing for credits. Have been applying for jobs and going for interviews all the way through this but with no luck yet.
    I 've only recently found out about CE schemes and saw one that I'd like to do, rang about it but was told I have to be getting JSB/JSA payment when registering for it, now that I am getting no money but am signing for credits I can't go for any of these jobs.
    As I never knew about scheme until recently I obviously never questioned social about it, but think they could have made me aware of schemes that are available and that you need to register for when still receiving a payment. Not everyone knows about all the schemes and it would have been helpful to have known as I would have been able to work 19 hours a week and get paid.
