Did soil analysis on the farm. Potassium came back at 0.2 the recommended concentration for normal grassland. Will spread at the start of next years grazing season. Have 24.5 acres. How many kilogrammes should I use? thanks

About a 50kg bag to the acre if ur drystock. A bit more if ur dairy. Account for slurry applied if this is the case. I'd go out now weather permitting. Leaving till the spring could result in a magnesium deficiency from high potassium intake from grazed grass. Potassium not covered by nitrates directive so long as it is a K straight ur spreading

Thought potash didn't go above 50% - Muriate of Potash.

muriate of Potash is 0-0-50, for the last few years it has being around 50c a unit, but this is all to change as far as im aware. I wouldnt be putting out allot of K now for grass next year. unless your growing a hungry K crop (ie beet etc) its best left till next spring. MOP is also firing out allot of chloride so dont go too heavy
