Big 4 - what certification do they hire.

So I'm trying to apply with the Big 4 milk rounds this year. I'm a professional student currently in ACCA. Having been to talk to EY and KPMG, they seem to recruit only Chartered Accountants and ACA, respectively, if I remember correctly. I also recollect Grant Thornton as well does Chartered Accountants.

Does anyone know what Deloitte and PWC hire, and also is ACCA a "pointless" certification? Am I wasting my time, should I transfer what exemptions I can elsewhere?

The big four recruit graduates through ACA, but will hire the right qualified ACCA's into qualified roles.

It's the structure the big four are tied into.

If your only goal was to be taken on as a trainee with the big four, then your ACCA qualification is probably useless.

However, if you limit yourself in life you'll find a lot of good things are useless.
