    Hi,

Can someone help me to understand if an insurance company needs to be notified about an expired endorsement ? If an endorsement expired in 2012, does that mean that you now have a clean driving license? Or, is your license is never clean once you've had an endorsement?

    Thank you

They used to ask have you had any endorsements or points in the last 3 or 5 years. Last couple of times I've got quotes they asked had I ever had endorsements or points. I told them I got points in 2008 and they'd expired. Best bet is to be honest as they will look for any way to avoid paying out for your part of a claim.

thank you. what if a job requirement is to have clean driving license? I suppose, you can not say your driving license is clean, even though the endorsement is no longer on it?

Once the endorsement is removed and you have no penalty points the licence is "clean". However there is normally a question when applying for insurance "Have you ever had any convictions?"

If it were for a job application I would answer yes to the question about the licence being clean.
