    Hi all,

I'm going to look at a car in motorvation today, I'm just wondering what they are like to deal with. I did a search but there are only zombie threads on them.

    Thanks :)

I know someone who had a bit of hassle about 2 years ago, but it was semi-sorted in the end.

My advise, get it checked over by an independent mechanic and if its OK, haggle for a bumper to bumper warranty on non-wear&tear items and get that stated very clearly on the sales receipt.

I bought a car there a few years ago, got a warranty on it. 2 months later the catalytic converter went bad, with much hassle they sent it into Advanced auto to fit a new one. All fine right?

So a few months later I go to have the car nct'ed, I failed on emissions.

Turns out they put in a an empty pipe instead of a catalytic converter.

Went back to them, basically they said tough, we didnt do the work and the warranty was now expired, needless to say Id never give them another cent of my money.

No it wasn't the 206 lol.

Went to look at the car but it was fairly rough with lack of service history to verify the mileage.

    Thanks for the replies though.
