I'm on jobseekers benefit at the moment but have been offered day's work. I'm wondering do I have to tell then in the welfare office or will I just get my weekly payment reduced accordingly when my payment goes through the tax system?

You have to tell them. You will need to change your claim to a casual claim and sign off any days worked.
