So one month on what's the verdict?. I thought PK took an early lead but I find myself listening to SOR a lot more as he seems to have relaxed and grown into the role.

PK is my default but I try to remember to flick over if the subject is dull. I suspect that's how it'll always be for me.

Mainly listen to SOR and as I thought Pat Kenny between 12.00-12.30 is all fluff and just filling in.

Probably 60/40 in favour of SOR.

One thing I notice is when I switch to Pat the volume goes way down.

Also noticed this, volume is way lower on Newstalk on all programmes.

Whereas SOR in that time slot is absolute dynamite?

Generally prefer PK but will 'move the dial' back if SOR has someone interesting on...

No SOR is on 10.00-12.00, just making the point caller that PK show is mainly fluff for last 30 mins of his show.

Sean O'Rourke cannot do the Sterling to Euro conversion as quick as Pat Kenny, so I'm staying with Pat.. :D

The Budget coverage will be a good test for both.

Yes for me too in the south east. Its one thing that annoys me about NT.If they stopped sending people to silly places, they might be able to invest in proper transmitters.......:p.Even where it is clear, such as in the car, its always a lower level.I like to go for a walk while listening to the radio, and I nearly have to do cart wheels to try and listen to something I want to.I have to stop and turn around in a particular direction until its clearish.

I would tend to listen to PK most of the time, but I may turn over to hear some good subjects but, in the main its PK for me.

Depends on the topic. They are both pretty good. It's win-win for me as I now have two chances of copping some daecent current affairs after 10. The competition seems to have stirred the rest as well. Even Tuberty and Ray come up with some worthwhile stuff now and then.

The down side of randomly landing on O'Brianstalk is that most of the time ye will be greeted by an advertising break.
