There's a chance they might get the Spanish right on this one.

"The Terrible Spanish accents amount to perhaps the most egregious flaw in the show. Really, they couldn’t find actors who actually speak Spanish? Gus’s accent was one of the worst—it didn’t sound remotely Chilean, and in fact it barely sounded like Spanish at all—and he was one of the most important characters on the show! Misplaced intonations, random pauses, choppy flow… it was one of the most unintentionally awkward Spanish accents I’ve heard on television, and not for lack of competition."

Yes, I am in no way fluent in Spanish but even I noticed when he spoke that he didn't sound like a natural Spanish speaker.

If a subtitled version comes, I'll give it a go. Especially if they decide not to stick directly to the original, and go a different route throughout the seasons.

But they've tried way too had to stick to BB, dressing Blanco they very same as WW down to the stache and glasses. And the lighting is way off, reminds me of a dodgy US soap opera.

I thought I was the only one that found a lot of scenes ruined by the brutal accents. Hector as a young man was worse even than Gus.

Interestingly they'll be going over the whole arc of 'Walter Blanco' in just three months, so it could be interesting to see what a massively compressed version of events looks like. If it gets Netflixed I might watch it.

I put that down to Gus just being a weirdo

Looks awful, I wouldn't waste my time with this one, will surely only disappoint. I don't see how anyone could attempt to remake this series, they always fall short.

I'm living in Spain and people are crazy for Breaking Bad. I've heard of a lot of people talking about taking off their traditional dubbing and going for the original version to experience the 'real thing'.

TV for Latin American audiences (from what I gather this is a Latin American project?) tends to be very melodramatic, humorously so for a Western audience.

I imagine this is their target audience, this is the way the show will be presented and the only aim of the project is to spin some money on the back of Breaking Bad's success.

I'd be very surprised if this is any good at all.
