I need help I have a group of 13 lads heading to London. We had it in our head to do the church and the slug on the Sunday.

The church is closed it seems.

What options do I have for a group of Irish lads in London on a Sunday.

The Church has now moved to Elephant and Castle. I was there last Sunday. It moves locations every few months as it gets kicked out of everywhere its held. Some serious women at it. The after party heads over to the Walkabout in Shepard's bush once the Church finishes at 4 pm. Highly recommend.

It's a combination of the worst club and worst pub in London!

    The Church
    (I'm guessing) The Slug

As regards the original thread, questions like this can only be answered if you tell us:
    • what sort of things you'd like to do
    • when you want to do them ( dates)
    • where you want to do them
    • what budget you have for doing them

There's hardly a shortage of pubs in London, so a quick search of the area you're staying in should be a good start.

Hi lads sorry for the delay.

To one of the earlier posters it seems from the Church website that it is not open every Sunday anymore?? Please inform me that im wrong :D

    To FYSH

We are staying in Clapham. The Saturday is fine but Pubs and clubs in the UK seem to die on a Sunday night.

That is why I need some localised help to find me a good spot on a Sunday.

We are basically a group of 13 lads between 18 and 44 from rural Ireland.

    What do we want?

A place that is not to high class from a club point of view.
Money is not a huge issue.
A good early Sunday drinking spot would be good.

Not sure as dont go out on a Sunday night really. Think there will defintley something happening in one of the clubs in the area as a lot of staff go out on a sunday night

Given the strong reputation Clapham has for nightlife I'd be surprised if Sundays were dead, but someone who lives closer to the area/socialises down there can probably give better advice.

London on a Sunday night is dead. Apparently going to work on Monday with a hangover is not acceptable in London unlike Ireland

Anyway I may aswell fill ye in.

We went to walkabout - Sheperds Bush at 12 and it was mobbed with people. It was a closing down day for the bar so the place was off the wall. They shut up at 6. I was out for the count at this point but a few went on to O'Neills in lecister square and it was ok from what I hear.
