Sound Systems Ibiza

    Just back for Ibiza and was very impressed with the sound systems is there some kinda of suspression? as in no ringing in the ears after a nights clubbing nor did you have to shout to speck to someone... :)

    Well given the fact some of the best clubs in the world are in Ibiza you'd expect nothing less than a quality sound system, only there a few weeks ago myself, the sound system in Space is particularly good.

    Good sound systems, run by experienced sound engineers.

    Not something you get a vast amount of in Ireland, unfortunately, although I must say Dublin by and large isn't too bad.

    Most of the Ibiza clubs run these: http://www.funktion-one.com And they are fantastic. Space in particular: http://www.funktion-one.com/in-action/dance-events/

    Good sound in Ireland is hard to come by in my experience. Its purely about amplitude and bass.

    ^ Turk's Head has a Funktion 1 in it, as does Kennedy's, as does one of the rooms in the Academy (although the ones in The Academy are set up absolutely dreadfully, last time I was in there it actually hurt me physically just being in the room, clearly the whole amp settings had been ****ed with by some deaf eejit.

    Add to that DJ's running levels into the red, dodgily wired decks etc and you can see the pitfalls. Fair dues to the Twisted Pepper (the main room anyway) for always having someone there whose job it is to make **** sound perfect.
