    Hi all,

Our (oil) boiler is on its last legs after 30 years, and while we're at it we're thinking to replace the whole system as we have leaking pipes all over the place (a combination of soft water and copper pipes). Might add solar as well if it makes sense.

Does anybody have any recommendations for companies who could do all this? We're in west Wicklow.

    Cheers,
    Willem

you are thinking along the right lines in replacing the whole system if it is in that bad a shape, as it would be pointless to put a new boiler on a system that is not up to scratch.
If your incoming water is causing damage to your existing pipes you should look into getting filters fitting to prevent any future damage.

if you are sticking with oil Grant Vortex boiler would be my recommendation (im sure it will be shanes too)

solar can be beneficial but it needs to be properly accessed and installed if suitable.
