Bluetooth kit recommendations

Hi all.....I'm changing my car this week but the only thing is, my current car had bluetooth installed whereas the new one does not have. So having got used to having bluetooth, I'm looking for recommendations for bluetooth kits. (Before I had bluetooth, I just didn't use the phone driving, so never used one)

The car is a fiesta & I currently have a Samsung smartphone...nothing fancy. I was looking at the various options on Halfords websites and there seems to be a wide variety of kits and prices and I'm confused. I wouldn't be a massive user of it, so don't know if it's worth paying massive money...but then on the other hand, I'd prefer to get something that will definitely work as I'm planning on having the car for 3+ years. I expect the installed systems have better sound quality etc than the sun-visor type ones....am I right?

Does the fiesta have an aux in port? I've installed one of these in my focus and it does the trick.

It needs to be plugged into the aux-in and a power point, which are quite far apart in the focus, but I was able to run the wires behind/under panels with minimal effort so that it's a clean install without any visible wires. I use it every day to stream my music from my phone, and though I don't use my phone much when driving, any calls I've gotten it has worked perfectly.

Consider giving the Jabra Cruiser2 a go - excellent call quality, size of a smartphone & easily set up.

Obviously lacks the convenience of a wired system, though if you're not a heavy user as you say, this represents a pretty decent compromise.

Yes it does have Aux in....and in the fiesta it is right beside the power outlet - hadn't come across this particular one in my search....thanks for the recommendation

I'd seen the Jabra Cruiser on Amazon, but had seen mixed reviews online. Great to know that's an option too....thank you for replying :-)

installed kit is much better than the cheaper options. I have the parrot mki9200 which is fairly high spec. Would be about 250 fitted to the car. There are cheaper options which are almost as good.

    Motorola TK30 £60 on amazon

You will need an ISO cable too which you should get for around £10 on amazon or eBay.

I use one myself & cannot fault it.

I'd agree, if you're keeping the car for a few years treat yourself to the MKi9200. Really nice and functional kit, I had a few of them fitted. There's a guy on Adverts who fitted mine. http://www.adverts.ie/shops/d-r-car-audio-security/
His work is very tidy and he comes to you.

I have one but I think that remote is tacky and flimsy, the ck3100 is much tidier looking in any car. I actually removed mine as my stereo has a 40GB HDD..

I'm using one at the min until I get a proper solution fitted and find it very good. I also have one of their USB speakerphones on my desk here and we buy lots of their headsets. All decent quality gear for the price.

If going for a full kit though I'd suggest the Parrot MKI9200 - had one for years in my last car and it was excellent... but yes the remote is very flimsy.
