So will keep this to the point if I can. I'm a f in my late 20's. My mam and I have had our ups and downs but i've always been there for her, helped her out. Despite years of hurt and endless hurtful incidents/remarks etc. I'm not expecting huge things from her, just some sort of relationship. We speak regularly on the phone, however its mostly me that phones. She often "has to go" and says i'll phone you back and never does. If I lend her money, she can be late paying it back, and doesn't understand if that annoys me. I live in a different county and don't get to call very often. I was in the area the other day and phoned to see if she was in so myself and the bf dropped in, she was saying she was heading out. She was heading to a friend of the family that lives 5 minutes away that she sees on a regular basis. I hadn't even finished my coffee and she said she had to go. Myself and my bf then left. I was a bit hurt by this and not sure if i'm being oversensitive. I try make an effort to do things with her, but I couldn't tell you the last time we even went for lunch together, she's just not interested. If there's a family thing on she'll go, i'll usually drive to collect her then drop her home. She'll go for brekkie with my brother during the week and cinema with my sis, which in fairness is probably more convenient as they live at home. It would be nice though to do some things together, i'm starting to feel taking for granted.

Have you tried broaching the subject with your mother and telling her how this makes you feel. She mightn't even realise she's doing it or she might feel a slight distance too which you could then work on if you were both willing. If you don't talk to her about it though, nothing is going to change by magic

Oh i've said it to her, but just seems worse of late. Was taken back when she basically turfed us out last week. We're now not speaking over other issues and i've my graduation next month, which I wanted her to go to. I'm going to be leaving the country soon also :(
