Any ideas on a fair price / labour for this operation? Quoted between 600-700 but can source the part on eBay for €120.

Supply and fit on a new one should be around €270-300 including VAT depending on the car (some are more awkward to access than others).

Fitting an egr valve on a C4 1.6 hdi isn't to bad but its a lot more difficult with less access on a C4 Picasso 1.6 hdi....:eek:
Any good independent garage should be able to fit it for you just note that the new egr valve will need to be coded in with dealer level diagnostic equipment....:)
