Desktop table to accomodate this PC

It's about time I ditched my old office-esque desktop for something more pleasing to look at, and one that would look at home with a gaming rig.

I'm in the process of ordering various parts to build a PC - and I'm looking for a desktop table that can accommodate this case [ a Corsair Carbide Air540 ].

Seeing pictures of people's sets, they got some nice looking stuff - yet looking at numerous places like Ikea, Argos and such... they're all so, well, dull!

I'm pretty much looking for a corner desk [ i.e. - an L shape ] that's black, or a dark wooden finish.


If anyone could nudge me in the right direction, that'd be greatly appreciated!

I've got a IKEA Galant with my 800D and its got no problem with weight of it, and a friend of mine has a slightly different Galant to me, with a Air 540, and theres plenty of space left over. One downside to the Galant is price, They start at around €220 IIRC. Extensions to the table/drawers/etc are extra.

Yeah, does seem pricy... especially for the addons (€150 for a simple thing)

If you want good office furniture you generally have to pay for it.

Personally I self built, great results but you need the workspace, tools and skills

Ikea is the best place to go because can customise the desk to your needs.
Then there is this on desk kickstarter if your game.

To put a different suggestion in there, harvey norman and other furniture shops sell old style wood desks, not cheap, but they do look different ! Maybe you could try some second hand furniture places ?

My next project (quite far down the road) is a watercooled PC in the desk. Saw one once, looked spectacular!

Nice, but they don't plan to ship for Europe til Mid 2014...
