Where could I buy a magnet?

I'm looking for a small slim one.

Some motor factors will have telescopic magnets for mechanics.
    Otherwise ebay/similar.

I took the hard disc drive from an old laptop apart recently. Couple of very slim (3mm) and very, very strong magnets in it.

To buy, a decent engineers suppliers should have one, or the interweb as said.

On of those magnetic catches that you will get in Woodies / B&Q / Homebase might fit the bill..

If you remove the plastic, there is a magnet inside that is small and slim.
