    Hi,

I'am thinking of moving to Lucan & need to commute to the city centre.
Just a quick question on the 66 is it a very busy in the morning peak times say 7-8am? I was used of living near a stop served by many different buses. Are there seats, is it ever full by Lucan?

    Thanks

It's busy, but you would always get a seat. In Lucan depending what part you are in you also have the 25 and 67 that pass through so you have a good choice of buses there.

    Thanks Mikros,

I would be using the stop just before joining the N4 at woddies.
The 66 would suit me be but the other buses are an option too.

At Woodies you have the following routes:

25a, 25b and 25x - they operate via the Chapelizod Bypass
25, 66, 66a, 66b and 67 - these all operate via Chapelizod village and will take longer

    25A/25B don't serve Lucan village.

The OP is not going from Lucan Village - he's joining at Woodies.

That stop is served by the 25a/25b.

From Woodies, the 25A/25B/25X definitely would be quickest.

The 66 buses in the morning commute times will be very full and are coming from Maynooth, so I wouldn't say you would always get a seat as they can get pretty packed after going through Leixlip and Lucan villages. If you head down the road a bit to the stop on the motorway just past Woodies, the 66X stops there and is much faster.
