Any ideas on what to get a close friend for a first wedding anniversary around the theme of 'paper'?

Why would you get your friend a gift? I thought the gifts were between the married couple? Thats what we did.

We got a card from both sets of parents but that was it.

    Seems odd to me.....

very strange to buy a friend an anniversay present.

Its a bit odd to be buying your friends a wedding anniversary present.
Our first anniversary was in June and some friends and family remembered and sent happy anniversary texts and one or two close ones sent cards. Actually there were great, because they had pictures of us at their weddings so they did the Moonpig thing with the card. It was a total surprise and much appreciated.

Do something like that if you wish but otherwise I'd say don't buy anything. Its something for the couple to do for each other if they want to.
