Can I pick up at Terminal 2?

Hi guys, just wondering if you could help me out.

I have to collect someone from the airport in a few hours and they're arriving through Terminal 2.

Is there an area at Arrivals where I can pick them up?

I won't be waiting there; it's literally a drive-by, they jump in and off we go.
I know in Terminal 1, I used to have to go to Departures to collect someone (they'd have made their way from Arrivals to Departures), so can I do the same at T2?

Yes, across from the departures doors. Got picked up there myself yesterday.

So when my friend comes out of the Departure doors, they can see a place to wait?

Sorry to be picky, it's just that I don't want to have to go looking for them because I won't be able to wait around.

I was going to text them now and tell them where to wait but I just want to make it clear to them so they know!

Yup. Its the same as T1 one though. You are not permitted to pick people up, but generally it should be fine. Once they walk outside 'departures' they will see a space to stand....i actually think they need to cross over to the middle in order to be picked up....there will be cars coming/going. I do it every few weeks and its fine.

    Great thanks so much!

At T2 departures it's even handier than T1 iirc. As previously said just across from departures there's an area for drop off but you can pull in and park there, but have to stay in your car obviously! It's not like T1 where it's just a big massive moving line of cars

    Fantastic, thank you.

I always find it stressful collecting someone and I've actually never collected someone from T2 before.

T1 is stressful enough, having to call the person I'm picking up and telling them to ring me when they're outside so I can just swoop by and collect them.

If there's somewhere I can actually pull in, well that's brilliant.
