    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what our new neighbour might be. We live in a converted Georgian house, and the basement is pretty dilapidated - rubbish, old furniture, boilers, the lot.

About a month back, we came home during the night and there was an animal on the landing outside our flat. We live on the 2nd floor. Just this morning, my boyfriend saw it again.
It's black, with possibly some brown or golden bits. It's too big and thick to be a cat and not graceful enough - it lumbers. It moves too quickly to get a better look.

We thought possibly badger, but seeing as they're notoriously reclusive, why would one have been waiting outside our door? Mutated cat? Really dirty fox?
    Any thoughts?
