Never knew this, but WWE filmed Evolution vignettes with Mark Jindrak in the Batista role.HHH buries Jindrak on his new DVD and said they filmed ones with and without Jindrak in them because HHH didn't want to have to shoot them again in a few months if Jindrak in Evolution didn't happen.

Didn't even let the poor bastard have sunglasses like the rest of them!

Why did HHH film that with a huge bandage on his head, record it before blading you muppet.

Yeah that period was so interesting. Jindrak, Maven, Lance Cade were all names kicking around for serious consideration. PWTorch are in the process are putting up 10 years ago audios. It was mentioned on them that Kevin Nash was unsuccessfully politicking to get into the group. A real pivot point in history. Say what you want but Hunter (& Flair) made the right choice.

Yeah I'd heard of Maven and Cade being in contention before but not Jindrak, though he was mates with Orton at the time wasn't he?two of them starting fights in restaurants and stuff like that IIRC.Big Dave definitely was the right choice in the end.

Would've been cool seeing Nash swagger down during that class Evolution entrance.

That was a juvenile attempt to work the internets/dirtsheets. The restaurant fight didn't happen actually happen. Which going by what I've read was worse in WWE's eye that an acutal fight. The bigger issue with Jindrak was his lack of charisma. While Batista played into Hunter and Vince predisposition for bodybuilder types.

Meh, Batista was the best choice for Evolution. He had the look, cool style that worked for Evolution and he was perfect in the enforcer role.

I really did enjoy them when they were around. One of the best stables of all time imo. Not on the level of NWO/4H/DX, but not far off either.

The one blot was the disastrous Orton face turn and feud. Batista's turn was done perfectly though and HHH/Batista was one of the best feuds in recent memory imo.

I look upon the Evolution stable fondly too. Flair and Batista as the tag champs, Orton with the IC strap, and HHH making the WHC the most important title in the WWE at that time.

Brilliant stable, and unforgettable entrance music
