    My head is wrecked!

My fridge/freezer is making a loud buzzing noise for the last while and is very loud. Its extremely annoying. When it stops, it is so quiet its unbelievable. But its buzzing so much we are starting to loose our minds.

    Any ideas?

Could be something resting against the compressor at the back, maybe something fell down the back of the unit.

    Defrost it.

Was thinking that but thing is, it stops making noise. Like for instance its quiet as a mouse now. But will wind back up again soon. Its integrated into the kitchen door, so would be a ecker to move it out.

Might take Simon Lynch's advice first off. might be easier. If that doesn't work, will have to move it out and check.

I agree with Simon Lynch, defrost it first, the "CTRL-ALT-DEL" of refrigeration support. ;)

defrosting wont cure it, as the mod says maybe something has fallen down but more likely vibrating pipework, or in extreme cases a spring within the compressor has snapped. if you take it out put your hand on the condenser (pipework) and move around until you find the offending spot, normally a bit of cardboard between the pipes solves the issue
