Single Sky box and phone line

    An elderly relative has a single Sky box, no multiroom and I'm fairly sure not HD. At the moment it's connected to a landline, however they want to get rid of the landline but are concerned that the Sky box requires it to work correctly. I don't have Sky so am unsure of what's necessary but I do seem to remember that the landline is only a necessity for multiroom. The Sky box has been in situ for several years now so out of any initial contract.

    So, can the landline be removed while continuing with Sky?
