I've applied to do work experience in the Irish times and sent in the article they asked for. Got an email back saying they'd be in touch in the coming weeks but haven't heard anything since.

Just wondering if anyone else who's applied has found out whether they've got a place or not?

I'm in the same boat, I'd say it will be either this week or next.

Yeah I suppose it should be soon. But one of the weeks the programme is running is the 14th to 18th of October so surely some people people have found out already?

Yeh I have to admit it's quite disappointing, maybe we should email them?

Yeh I was thinking of doing that but my parents told me to just sit tight and be patient. Easier said than done.

I wish they'd just tell us even if I dont get in cause I've got a week of work experience in November but I havent organised anything yet just in case I get a place for that week.

Yeah I got the email today. Didn't get in. Not too bothered though to be honest. Now I'm just waiting to hear back from tcd biochemistry and immunology and I think I've got a better chance at that one :)

Has anyone else applied for the trinity course?

Yeh I got the email today too. I was unsuccessful. Really disappointed after putting so much work into it.

I didn't get the Trinity Biochem & Immunology one, but I did get the Irish Times so I'm happy enough. Waiting to hear back from Trinity Physics - almost don't want it because my school will be really annoyed at me if I ask for another placement outside the dates.

Haha I'm the opposite didn't get the Irish Times but did get Trinity biochemistry & immunology. Delighted I got one of them :)

Didn't apply for physics or any other trinity science courses but the school can't stop you if you want to take extra weeks - its not as if you'll be doing anything more worthwhile in school anyway!
