    Hello,

I'm looking for a new car and my budget is €4000. I've recently sold an old Peugeot 206 and was looking for something along the lines of another 206, a Focus or a Golf.

Just wondering if anyone has had any previous dealings with AutoCo in Leixlip? This one here sounds alright: http://carsireland.ie/963744

    I'd appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks.

In that price range I'd be buying private over a dealer. You will get better value and the warranty from a dealer on such a low value car will not be worth much.

I work in Leixlip and I've never heard of them before. Also a quick google seems to point to them beeing based in Greenogue in Rathcoole. Site and a couple of mobile numbers as sole contact for a business doesn't fill me with confidence.

Just wondering if anyone has had any previous dealings with AutoCo in Leixlip?

    Actually, I kept digging.

    From AutoCos site:
    AutoCo Online
    Viewings by appointment only
    Newtown House
    Leixlip

Strangely, also the home of Leixlip Town Council: http://kildare.ie/leixliptowncouncil/ContactUs/
    Leixlip Town Council
    Newtown House
    41 Captain's Hill
    Leixlip
    Co. Kildare.

 Anyone more local have any info?

Newtown House is the building next to the library up the hill. There are a few different offices there, including the town council. I've never heard of these guys before even though I walk past that building every day. I guess their office is in that building but I don't know where their garage is.

Thanks for the advice - would the general opinion be to go private? I thought I'd be better off going with a dealership for some kind of warranty.

Girlfriend got a car off them 2 years ago. It was in rathcoole at the time. The chap seemed quite decent and fixed a few things after payment was made.

The car was a Hyundai coupe and traded in an accent. We only parted with 900 quid.
