Hi, I was looking to buy/build a gaming pc for 500euro. I am a beginner in computer gaming so can anybody give me some good advice on what to buy.

A little over budget but this should be enough to get you started. If you can I'd upgrade the card to the 7870 2gb linked below. The cards people have received are the sapphire ghz edition. Not the generic one pictured. It's well worth the extra €15-25. Pixmania were doing free delivery. I'm not sure if they still are. You would be able to run most games on high settings with the 2gb 7870 especially with an overclock.

You could use this to get a discount on your order and maybe bring the price back closer to €500.
