Can Anyone Stop the Broncos?

Four games into the season the Broncos have demolished all opponents.

Against the Eagles the Broncos put up 52 points and Manning sat out the entire fourth quarter. The Broncos offence has averaged 45 points per game in its four games this season and looks unstoppable.

Furthermore the Broncos defence is missing its two highest profile players, Champ Bailey who is recovering from injury and Von Miller who has two games left in his suspension.

Can the Broncos go 16-0 in the regular season and will they go undefeated all the way to winning the Superbowl?

Aside from Baltimore they haven't beaten a whole lot. 1-3 Eagles, 1-3 Raiders & the truly awful 0-4 Giants.

Let's hold off proclaiming them as unbeatable Champs until the 2nd half of their schedule where they face the Chiefs & Chargers twice along with the Pats, Texans & Titans

Many experts would say that Seattle have the tools to dehorn the broncos in New Jersey

History has proven that the best teams in September always meet in the Superbowl, so will win between Denver and Seattle I wonder? ;)

I would back NE at home against Denver if Gronk and Amendola are healthy. With KC games before and after that they could become unstuck. I wouldn't even be surprised if Dallas next week gave them a very good game. They've beaten the Giants (who look like one of the league's worst teams), the Raiders (ditto), the Ravens (Who don't have an offense and on that occasion didn't have a defense either) and the Eagles who fell apart in front of them. Hardly going to proclaim them as champions.

Very much the best team at the moment but as someone said earlier they have not met a top team yet. (Ravens without a dominant Defence will get nowhere relying on flacco).

I honestly dont know what type of team would have a better chance of beating them. A solid defensive team with limited Offence (KC, Seahawks) or an offensive team that will try and make it a shootout (Saints, Injury free patriots)

The broncos defense, especially their secondary are looking better than they actually are because teams are constantly chasing the games against them. When you know the pass is coming they are dropping 7 or 8 and makin opposing QBs throw into double and triple coverage. if a game is close this will not happen so much. very much the same as my New Orleans saints a few years ago. Interceptions were more a result of the dominant Offense racking up points that a talented defense.

I love watching peyton work though. "OMAHA OMAHA" Defence moves. Free 5 yards thank you very much. Did it a few times yesterday.

If you want to crown them, then crown their asses

We are 4 games into a 19 game season and we all know Manning is better in the regular season than in the playoffs.

I remember feeling the same about the Packers in 2011.. and then the Chiefs came along and ruined it all followed by the Giants!

In all seriousness they look very strong particularly on offence with Welker, D. Thomas, Decker, the rookie Julius Thomas in tandem with Manning. That's very hard to stop. But I'd fancy some team somewhere along the line to beat them. Very rarely does a team stay hot for the entire season including playoffs (unless you're the Pats when they almost won the lot).

Everyone said the same about the Pats in 2007 and look what happened in the Superbowl. Pats and Giants showed that year it doesn't matter what happens in the regular season its all about the big game. More than a few teams that could run them close in the regular season and most certainly at full strength in the playoffs and Bowl. Too early in the season to be suggesting no one can stop them.

As TO said. Someone stopped the 07 pats. Someone can stop this broncos team.
Bit cocky from denver fans tbh. That could bite you back.

Jumping to conclusions again - this is actually a hot topic all over the place.

I actually don't think the Broncos will go unbeaten. The likelihood is that they will lose at least one during the regular season - it is hard to keep the momentum going for 16 games. The Cowboys might keep it close next week but at the moment I would think the biggest threat is the Chiefs in Kansas City. The Chiefs defence has shown up so far this season however, it will take a while to see how good they actually are.

The Broncos offence is REALLY good. Putting up 45 point a game is impressive no matter who the opposition are. Yet the Broncos are not the finished article - the running game is average and they have made mistakes. In reality they should have put up two more TDs against the Eagles. Similarly on defence - without Miller the Broncos are getting little pressure on the QB in the base defence.

Both the offence and defence will get better. The running game is improving - Clark looks like he is serviceable at LT etc. Miller and Bailey will improve the defence and Miller could, potentially, run up a lot of sacks if opponents keep having to chase the game.

The most impressive aspect of the Broncos this season is the half-time adjustments. So far nobody has been able to counteract the Broncos half-time adjustments and the Broncos have run away with every game as a result.

I think the broncos will be stopped no later than pats tbh, Dunno why but I don't think they can continue the great run and not have any injuries crop up

Broncos could be 9-0 welcoming the Chiefs, who'll have a bye week to prepare for Peyton's shenanigans.
Will be interesting to see if fatigue is a factor for Manning in December.
Or even mental fatigue for his offensive line - all those audibles!

Or perhaps a more pertinent question might be, can anyone stop Jolly Red Giant losing the run of himself just 4 weeks into the season?

Think there's a good chance some records will go, but still think the Seahawks are a more complete team at this stage.

Meh, they've been lucky to escape with a win at times, gave up 17 points against the less-than-dire Jags. I'm not sure they're as good as everyone says.

Dont really see how its jumping to conclusions Thread was started by a Broncos fan - yourself - and theyve to win another 15 to go unbeaten.

If it wasn't the NFL I'd be happy to put the house on a team as good as the Broncos winning it all.

But it is the NFL and as insanely good as we've looked in the first 4 games of the season, I still cant say who'll win the Super Bowl, that's what I love about the NFL.

We defo look the mostly likely and have one of the best schedules to go unbeaten in the regular season though.

Either way Im just happy to be a Broncos fan and I'm going into every game expecting a win, that's some feeling!!

Manning won't be tired if he can sit out the last quarter every game.

80% of Peyton's 'audibles' are just BS to confuse (and most likely just to annoy) the defense and nothing has changed since he called the play in the huddle.

I know when i used to play Madden and I was against Manning, he would drive me mad when i was on defense. Most QBs in the game snap the ball within a couple of seconds of breaking from the huddle. I want to play the game but Manning wants to have an audible orgy by walking around whispering sweet nothings into the ears of his linemen, give shout outs to random towns in the mid west, move RBs and TEs back and forth like he's an indecisive interior decorator having movers move furniture. Just snap the fcuking ball already!!

I think there is a bit about that on the Colts Americas Game where Jeff Saturday was talking about all the fake audibles. It's funny IRL (but annoying as hell in Madden)

You have to admire the arrogance of a Pats fan - their bigheadness knows no bounds.

The OP was a legitimate question - the Broncos have shown they are a very good team and are potential SB champions even this early in the season (just as the Pats were in 2007). Whether it will happen or not we will have to wait and see but it is an exciting time to be a Bronco fan (and the disaster days of the McDaniels era now are a distant memory. ;) )

Well it won't be an issue in Mile High - the rarified air will have the opposing defences gasping for air by half time trying to keep up with the pistol offence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,027 ✭✭✭✭titan18

If they can keep going as it is, and their next 4 games aren't difficult tbf, Manning won't be playing much in the 4th quarter so should be rested up. Add to that with Von Miller to come back into the team and having 6 games less than everyone by the time playoffs come round, they could be difficult to stop.

Considering how many times were you warned about your shít stirring in the Pats thread? It's no surprise to see the same old tired childish bullshít coming from you. I mean 4 weeks into a season and we have this....
    Can Anyone Stop the Broncos?

Now if that's not the definition of pomposity and arrogance I don't know what is. Probably the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen started in this forum and then you spew that tripe back at me? Cop yourself on.

There's a Denver Broncos thread in addition to the weekly gameweek threads, where the issue of who can stop the Broncos can be discussed appropriately. I see no need for this thread.
