Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes:

I current have a Bose sound dock, from which the sound is really good. Trouble is the first gen iPod I use in it is ending its life and I need a replacement. I would like to get a unit that can connect to my media server via DLNA/Upnp but also have internet radio on it. The closest I have seen is the Sonos systems but it looks like they don't support DLNA only direct access via CIFS shares (which is annoying).

Can anyone recommend a good sounding system (comparable to the Bose) with built in support for internet radio and streaming from a media server?

You could look at the Pioneer XW-SMA1 @199 euro, XW-SMA3 @249 euro or XW-SMA4 @299. All DLNA Certified, USB port for docking iPod. Different sounding to Bose but worth a listen

Also look at the HM-X71 @415 with 50w per channel, cd player, internet radio, Ipod dock, USB, FM/AM, AUX in. The only thing I would knock on it is its speakers included. If you replace these with a set of Monitor Audio BX2's or QAcoustic 2020I your onto a winner.

With Pioneer they have just upgraded their app so that it now allows a multiroom function.

Denon Ceol & Denon Ceol Piccolo, Marantz MCR-603 just another few options.

You could also go down the separates route and get an amplifier, Network player & speakers, It may work out costing more than what you are looking for, but regarding quality it will surpass the quality of your Bose dock and give you many options for the future.
