Need aid in building Gaming Rig, modest Budget

Hey there - think it's about time I ditched my old Gaming Rig, bought from 2007 and got myself a new one! Unfortunately I'm pretty much an 'illiterate' when it comes to building computers - so I'm asking for advice of components from you experienced lot!

1. What is your budget? €1200- €1500, though I'm willing to go a bit over that.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming and Entertainment

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes, but I currently got one already... if somewhat old, I can overlook the monitor for now if I can get better components for the gaming rig.

• 5a. If yes, what size do you need? Note above, but the typical 21-22" I suppose

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? I would overlook extras for now, suppose a card reader could be included - they're cheap ain't they?

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Absolutely no experience in this whatsoever...

8. How can you pay? Credit Card

9. When are you purchasing? ASAP, unless there's a sale you know off that will be happening soon?

Something like this would do nicely. The board and power supply support sli (dual graphics cards) so you can add a second graphics card later if you want. You still have enough in your budget to get 2 now even if you wanted although it would be overkill for most games. A single 760 will run most games at 60fps at 1080p with the odd exception like Crysis 3 and Metro last light.

The board and cpu support overclocking and the cooler should net you a decent overclock. It's not something you have to do straight away but you could look into further down the line. You could save money if you have no interest in overclocking or going for dual graphics cards.

A newer monitor will most likely have significantly better picture quality and you could easily fit it into the budget. If you have the deskspace you can run dual monitors having 1 for games and another for your desktop. You can get the 24" version for €30 more.

The case comes in a few colors.

Alternatively you could go for a 1440p system with dual cards and one of the Korean 27" 1440p monitors for a total of about €1650.
