I couldn't find anywhere else to post so please move if inappropriate:

Can anyone tell me how far in advance I should be receiving my polling card for Friday? I've checked the national register and I am on it but no sign of my card.

Call the Local Authority. You should've had your card by now. My husband's came last week. But AFAIK, you don't need it. Just carry photographic ID (passport, Driving Licence, Student ID, etc.) when you go to vote.

I received mine this morning. Was starting to get a bit worried about it cause we usually get them a week or two before hand.

Just called the Local Authority and they advised me that they no longer look after the polling cards - it's been outsourced to a private company...great....

You'll be able to vote without it if you have photo id

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You'll need photo ID with or without it.

Mine came a minute ago. Nobody else I'd spoken to in our village had received theirs up to now either.
