Hours being reduced

I've been in my job for nearly 6 years. Business is pretty bad lately so starting this week my hours are being cut in half. Instead of a 4 day week I'll only be working 2.
I'm going to sign of for the rest of the week until business picks back up (hopefully) and I go back to my old hours.

On the application form there is a section about looking for work. Is that required for my situation as I'm hoping the reduction in hours will be only temporary?

I really like my job and don't want to think about leaving until the future becomes a bit more clear.

To qualify for job seekers you must be 'available for, and genuinely seeking, full time work.

Who knows a full time job may present itself down the road so keep looking
