what months are the big ones for work over in Australia in the silage season/grain season. ok so im21. Being working with a silage outfit for the last 5 years. Have loads of experience in mowing, raking, drawing and especially pushing up. I can plough, power harrow, spread fert/slurry etc all that jazz. I have experience driving a combine although I would be lost really if it broke on me.
what is the money per hour about. just want to pass a few months now and thought this might be a great experience.

It ranged between 25-35 dollars per hr when i was out there. but that was over 6 yrs ago. remember the difference with here and there is you be just sat on a machine pointing in one direction and told to turn around in 7 hrs and drive back along the same line. i know a couple of lads on ploughs that this happened to and they nearly went cracked. make sure you buy a satelite phone. it was the only thing that could pick up anything in a lot of spots.

TBH your cutting very tight. I was out only a few years ago and I did the harvest. Google rural entripses. There based in WA which where you want to work if you want good money. 25 dollar an hour and you get free food and accommodation for that. Starts round the first of November roughly give or take a few weeks. But you need to send in cv's to this recruitment agency so they can check it out them out before you can apply for jobs. Could take a few wks

Other wise if you land out without one lined up your best bet is NSW or Queensland. About 19 dollars an hour working for a contractor, no meals but accommodation included. I give you some advice tho go for a job with food provided. Usually it's in a family home so it's top notch plus you won't be in the humour for cooking after 14 plus hour days!!
