My xbox has started to make noise similar to this guys one when it tries to read a disc.

I've already ordered a new laser cause it sounds like that's the problem but I just wanted to know if any of ye knowledgeable people dealt with this problem before?

Sounds a lot like the laser head rising too much and slapping the disc?

Would that stop the disc from reading properly? I know the screws that hold the bars in place where the laser slides up and down are nearly blunt so they may not be tight enough. Haven't had a chance to look at the yoke til now.

Just after opening it up there. It's not the laser head anyway cause there's no scratches on the disc.

Could it be the laser focked?
